On the Jan 16th show, hour three at 23:00 minutes caller Elaine gets through on the bizarre story line. She recounts her 17 year old sisters death in a car crash, and goes on to tell how she was compelled to turn the record player on only to realize it was set to a song about a fatal car crash, etc. Her story was absolutely heart wrenching and you could hear the tears in her voice and she describes how she tried so hard to be able to talk to her sister after her death.
How does George handle it? Well when she gets toward the end of the story in which she describes a voice shouting to her to turn the record player on that still had her sisters record on it and it turns out to be a song by Neil Young about a deadly late night accident, George cuts her off and says??Speaking of music, BTW, Tommy and I had an ?after lunch? get together (HUH?) with Billy Gibbons today from ZZ Top, & Billy?s going to put together a show for us!

Then he goes on to make a complete fool of himself with Jessica at 27:00. It?s pretty obvious to me why this man will never be married again.

Yeah and then he puts on this creepy fake Boston? accent and answers Jessica?s call. He pretends to be someone else on the line holding to speak to George. This is similar to something Art would have done with finesse, and would have let the caller in on it eventually and had a good mutual laugh, but NNNOOO, not George. He?s really having a good laugh, all by himself as usual.

It must be sheer laziness on my part that I even listen. It?s just too easy to get up in the morning and download C2C and run oput the door with something to listen to, no matter how substandard it is.

Clear Chanel is such a piece of crap, but we can only pray that George is one of the 30,000 who gets axed!

The new owners of radio giant Clear Channel Communications will next week begin implementing a massive restructuring plan that seeks to cut $400 million in costs at the company, The Post has learned.
According to three sources with knowledge of the plan, the restructuring will include layoffs across the company's radio, outdoor advertising and international divisions as well as cuts to programming budgets and consolidation of back-office operations.
A precise headcount for the layoffs could not be obtained. Clear Channel has about 30,000 employees worldwide.

I'm worried my favorite show here in DC might get axed. Big O and Dukes. PLEASE podcast them. They rock.

RE: Noory. I just got an iphone, and if you don't have one, nanny nanny booboo. Anyway. It has a fantastic APP called I heart radio and well I listen to KFI Los Angeles. THe show that comes on before Noory in LA time is a male female cheesey conservative DUO. I like to hear about CA as I've always wanted to move there and might one day, despite the weirdos who live there.

Anyway, they have this "here's noory about what will be on C2TAM tonight". It's the MOST awkward radio I have ever heard. Every single night, they lampoon noory right before and after. Noory pretends to not hear them after I'm sure. Also, while they question him, he always mishears what they say as something automatically negative. I think he has an "i was bullied a lot" complex. Still an a-hole. Check it out if you have an iphone.

I lived in LA for many years, hey there is something for everyone. I listened to KFI a lot, Joe Crummey was one of my favourites, I think he was fired though. Even back then he was way too liberal for CC is my guess.
I might be able to pick that show up online, not sure. It would be interesting to hear Noory try to think a thought, without Tom holding his...errmmm, hand.

Hey I'm no weirdo...Well maybe a little. I'm a native and honestly most of the weirdos I encounter come from elsewhere. They didn't "fit in" where they were so they headed west.

ok ok I just went out to this little place in glover park here in DC and the bars are open til 5AM because of this magical moment and people here en masse. I am not an animal and can't stay up too late, or out... because there are bandits but I was with my 2 friends and we started saying to people "hey hurry with the tab. i want to go listen to coast to coast". My friend (a guy), actually had this girl telling him how she listens and couldn't really keep up because the host was borderline retarded. DC is so weird. The weirdest people listen to talk radio.

Also, CA is awesome. Sun and beach? I can't believe there are so many retarded people in CA considering the beauty there. And yes, I'm aware of the illegal issue. It's a friggin disaster. But whatcha gonna do? KFI is great. they were discussing the illegals once and that same duo who make fun of Snoory were saying how if illegals go back, there is no real economy (enough jobs), so they do drug wars and well that would suck because it spills over so we have to keep them occupied. Jesus! At least Canada is stable?

Oh and the iphone, yea, lick my boots. It's so awesome you have no idea. KFI also has John Batchelor who i used to get here in DC AND Jillian Michael from the biggest loser! I swear she's gay and a big sadomasochist freak when the cameras go off.

i hate clear channel because they represent everything that's wrong with radio today. it's cookie-cutter radio providing exactly the same content for every city in america topped off with pounds of commercials per hour. good riddance to them, i say. with the infusion of ipods, mobile data, and satellite radio, they'd better find a new way to do business or they won't be able to GIVE away the frequencies they have licensed (unless, of course, they want to give a frequency or two to a radio pirate like me).

This might be an inappropriate place to say it, but that picture is actually very flattering of Khaled Sheikh Mohammad, if you have seen him at other angles. Also, he's not a real mustached man. He is actually a bearded man who just used the mustache to look non-terrorist.
