         Peter Davenport's complaints about being his hotline overrun by crank calls was too fucking funny. He was clearly pissed off and outraged. Hilarious. Blamed it on kids and mental defectives.

           It gave me ideas,man. I ain't a kid anymore, but I'm still a mental defective. Doesn't Davenport know that "stop means go",by his telling us how much it annoys him, it such an invitation to more.

I heard something to this effect on an older show, and couldn't stop laughing about drunks calling the UFO hotline.

I came to this thread to comment on how much I enjoyed the wild horses and the BLM portion of the show, but will respond quickly to the questions raised.

The simple fact is that there is a LOT of problems right now with MERS, title insurance and foreclosures. be problems.  At least after you have been warned you can fairly decide if it is worth the risks...

I don't really have a problem with George Knapp - at least he doesn't irritate me he way George Noory and Ian Punnett do.  I personally can't listen to him because to me he is dull and dry, always speaking in montone, and mostly has lousy non-credible guests (the plight of the wild horses are one exception), but others seem to like him.  I am aware of the real estate crisis, and the shenanigas surrounding it.
 
My question about his reporting on the real estate mess - the lack of a clear title chain on some foreclosures, was the complete omission of any role Title Insurance is playing on those properties.  Anyone buying a home should buy title insurance even if they are paying for the place in cash.  Any lender will require it.  Maybe in these cases somehow title insurance didn't cover the losses for some reason.  I just thought it was poor reporting to leave that completely out of his article and apparently out of the C2C broadcast.  It made me think he either has an agenda, or was in completely over his head investigating and reporting this subject.

          You mentioned the key word. That dumbass seems to be unaware that you can't control who calls you when you make your number available to the public. I liked how he singled out some "nut in St Paul" calling hundreds upon hundreds of times.

Ah, now I understand.  I am positive that I did watch the Knapp segments, but I don't really recall them too well now.  You are dead on about the title insurance and it should have played a part in any reporting he did when he mentions problems with titles.  I seem to recall a number of title companies refusing to insure REO properties a couple of years ago until banks basically backstopped them and guaranteed them.  The title companies pretty much removed the risk from themselves in those cases and I have seen a few reports of them refusing to insure some questionable titles in various states.

Good catch on the insurance angle- it really should have been included in the report if it was not.

A "War of the Worlds" scenario, with dozens of callers with the same story...and then we drop the 50 ton shithammer on him. But after he's contacted CNN(now I miss Larry King, he was a sucker for UFO tales, no matter how far fetched) about an "empyrean event". I can picture him in deep embarrassment after the hoax, looking like Martin Sheen at the end of The Dead Zone.

       The prank you describe is the ultimate goal. A well thought out collaborative effort, with a humorless blowhard taking it all too seriously. A sci-fi version of "Windy City Heat" is needed oh so desperately.

          I'm envious of "the nut in St Paul". Especially funny is how Davenport said "the courts couldn't do anything about this harrassment, becuse he's crazy". Never have I been so pleased by our judicial system.

As long as effort is being put into it, you have to script the staggering of calls by 5-10 minutes to give Uncle Davenport enough time to swap calls. I remember a few shows where he played back interviews with callers and it sounded like it was done on a rotary phone.

That has to be the worst thing I have seen yet.  The ramblings of a mentally ill person just strung together as each thought comes to him.  He seems like a perfect guest for somebody like Wells who would just let him ramble incoherently for a few hours.  Heck, judging by that site,  Wells wouldn't really even need to stop him for commercial breaks.  Just let him ramble through them and rejoin him after the break...  I assume by the website that this would be one of the legions of mentally ill fans that Noory has who have been scared off of their meds.  Perhaps he is taking cumin instead of anti-psychotics?

Hey, i loved the open lines GK did last night. It almost reminded me of AB days of old. We had the kooks, wannabes, disturbed as well as the sincerely mystified. Great show. GK is such a pro, damn, I love when he`s on.

I knew it was going to be one of the better coast shows right from the start, the way Knapp opened up the show, I wonder if he comes up with that stuff on the fly, or if he writes it. He's a real pro for sure.

GK was certainly on his game  last night. The show moved through every segment without lagging once, plus GK fielded the open lines like a pro.  He asked the right questions and was fully involved with the Area 51 museum people and the BoA story, unlike Simple George who would've phoned it in or else had Celente or Corsi  to explain it to all us imbeciles. And the open lines - they were just like old times, an entertaining mix of the serious, the seriously delusional, the stoners, the wannabes and just plain folks. I don't remember his exact quote to the guy who said he "admired your species" but it was something witty along the lines of "Enjoy your stay" and it made me laugh out loud. You could tell GK was trying very hard not to laugh himself. It's been a long time since I really enjoyed a show. The sad think if if Nooron was on Friday, the show would've sucked.
