Racing wheels, pedals, etc. for PC racing games

   I want to get some auto racing games for my new Dell. I would like to hear some recommendations on which games, racing wheels, pedals, et al y'all may have used and would recommend. Is it worth going whole hog and getting the full racing seat, wheel, etc. setup? Are there some wheels that fit well on your lap while sitting in a regular chair? I don't mind spending the money to get the best setup, as I love racing games.

I've always used Mad Catz products whenever I wanted racing controllers or peripherals for my console/PC in general. I'm not saying they're the best, but they're higher quality than most third party companies and everything I ever bought from them worked great for me.
