Karens alarm

I noticed you listed some "Karenware..."

She died in her sleep on April 12, 2011 - her server remains operative, but may stop at any time. Information from her brother, obituary, and other sources are below. If you're a fan of her work, alll her freeware is still available on her website.

PS - doin' fine MV. Now that the space shuttle program is defunct, I don't know what to do with all my computing power. No matter how hard I try, I can't get my processor to run at greater than 30% capacity... except when I used Handbrake, which is a complete piece of shit. I use a GREAT piece of freeware for video; I'll post about it soon - puts all others converters to shame.

RIP Karen... don't know what i would do without yer alarm

Morgus:
When I first installed Windows 7 I found it didn't have a simple clipboard viewer, so I discovered Karen's Clipboard viewer.
However months later I discovered you could copy the old clipboard viewer .exe from Windows XP over for use in Windows 7.

Camazotz Automat:
I've been using this guitar tuning PC software for three years. The graphics are basic. Includes five common preset tunings from E to Eb, then 39 custom presets.  I also have it on my old ThinkPad laptop. I use it more than any portable electronic tuner. There is a newer AP Tuner out there, but I don't know if it nags.

The old Audio Phonics website is for sale, but I found the one I've been using on softpedia. Fortunately, there's no nag on this version, but unfortunately, no Nag Hammadi either. If you want to transpose the Gnostic messianic Hammer On, Pull Offs a la Melchizedek's inverted riffs, you're on your own.  (hint: study T___ I____)

Unquenchable Angst:
VLC Media Player,Video LAN ,I just go to filehippo.com .
filehippo has an update checker that  keeps things updated and will inform you when anything else is in 'Beta' .Lets you choose to update or not.
Updating Adobe PDF is hit or miss.Seems like it fails to update 2 out of 3 times.I usually avoid them till they go up a whole number.
I tend to use the hippo or MajorGeek to either look or download things.

I use 'Start Page' or Ixquick for my home page-search engine as they don't track your searches
