I like Ian a lot, and I'm willing to go a long way in terms of listening to different topics just because Ian is hosting.
With regard to other shows with paranormal topics, I found one that broadcasts in Pennsylvania -- live broadcasts on Sunday nights. It's called "Paranormal Cafe" and they have podcasts going back to 2006.

I'm with you. I generally like Ian, think he does a good interview, and have even gotten used to the off beat humor, but I do wish his guests were more along the lines of classic Coast topics. I enjoyed the first comic book guy he had on, even though that's not my bag. But this is the 3rd or 4th time with the comic book guys already.
I enjoy the unsolved crime stories he does. Especially if they have an air of the mysterious to them, like the Smiley Face Murders. I remember he did some show on the Coldrin, which was some type of Bible, or a Bible companion book. But it was a creepy book, if I remember correctly. I like hearing about the Dead Sea Scrolls and stuff like that, if he wants to keep a religious theme to his shows. If his religious beliefs get in the way of his doing a good show, then maybe he should get into another line of work. Not necessarily leave the airwaves, but leave Coast.
I am very interested in religious themes, or maybe I should say, in spiritual themes. Not along the lines of organised religion. I don't like organised religion, but I do like trying to figure out God and the way the Universe works. Past lives, Karma, primal archetypes, comparative religion and all that. I feel we could all learn from each other's beliefs if we remain open minded enough. I would actually listen to Ian religiously (pun intended) if he did a religion themed show and had guests like Caroline Myss on. (She's absolutley amazing to anyone who isn't familiar with er stuff. I recommend reading or listening to her.)
I will check out Paranormal Cafe! Thanks for the tip.
