Funny story - When I first started my foray into Internet Tin-Foil-Hat-Land, I was a member of Unknown country. It was fun. Many of the people who frequent the site are a howl! And, uptight as WS can be about a number of things, he's pretty loose-goose about his members' behavior. (I think he and Ann discovered early on it was too much work to try and control us much - though his software is programmed to edit out swears and threats are not allowed.)
Well - people started to come to the chats pretending to be WS (Who often showed up himself) at first it was funny, but then some things got said that were NOT funny, and some fools could not tel the dif between the real WS and the fakes - who were always more off the wall than he (oh yes, it's possible) and didn't really speak like him at all. So - WS has his web-guy set the chat up so that only he could use his name to log into chat.
Did that stop us? HELL NO! We figured out pretty fast that the font used in his chat made a capital I look just like an L. So the game went on until one poor woman (who obviously had problems with paranoid delusions) not only said some REALLY crazy shit under Whit's name - but sent them threats of violence back-channel (so the story goes.) She was banned.
I hear most people still remember her and hope she'll return. MOST of the time she was a lot of fun. In fact, WS even said that if she came in under a different handle and behaved, he'd let her stay. (and I believe him, if for no other reason than the whole set-up seemed pretty insecure and i don't know if they ever actually banned IPs) I left shortly thereafter. It was taking too much of my time. (Even more than THIS place!) So I don't know if she ever tried or not.
