Dr. Bruce Goldberg
« on: April 11, 2012, 02:43:19 AM »
I just came back from a quick vacation in the 5th dimension where in the year 4060 Dr. Bruce Goldberg revealed to me that he and Starfire Tor have been involved in a torrent affair where they have now joined minds; the two becoming one and have been reborn as Doctor Starfire Goldberg.

Dr Bruce Goldberg:A charlatan (also called swindler or mountebank) is a person practicing quackery or some similar confidence trick in order to obtain money, fame or other advantages via some form of pretense or deception.

I once had a torrent affair.  We'd check the new releases on demonoid while having sex.  Good times.

The astounding photo of an astronaut carved in the 16th century Goldberg was gasping about last night ?

From Wikipedia:

"Its main entrance consists of 3 arcs, each leading to the 3 naves (sections) of the church. All three are richly carved. Among the ornate carvings on the façade is the incongruous likeness of an astronaut floating in space; it was added by an artist during restoration work in 1992 as a symbol of the 20th century."

Google much, Bruce ?

Bruce strikes me as a male version of Glynis McCants:  Overly and perpetually perky, spends the first 5-10 minutes hawking his wares and explaining his "process," and his shows are just as meaningless and vapid as though I listened to a few hours of babies babbling.

I heard a few minutes of his segment. I turned on the radio, just out of curiosity. Goldberg was *used* to fill space and kill time because new guests weren't available. The stand-by pool likely dwindled along with the guest roster, so booking problems caused a spot that needed to be filled.

Bah, can't modify my post 'cause it's been >5 seconds ...

Forgot to add that (s)he also talks really fast (as do most snake oil salespeople) and both use the argument from antiquity (Bruce said that even neandertals were using this 50,000 years ago, and Glynis always refers back to 'This was invented by Pythagoras of ancient Greece').

They really are very similar.

Goldberg is one of Coast's most annoying guest by-far. Now Goldberg can hypnotize people, that he cannot fake, but nearly all of the other crap he spews when he isn't trying to sell stuff, sounds totally made up.

I came across some old (1920s-50s) books on the history of biology at a thrift store (I bought everything I could find from the guy's collection-its obvious someone just dumped them without checking values).  One or two of them I read said some similar things to what Goldberg was saying.  So similar to many topics on coast, its a lot of adulterated older knowledge.

A couple of years ago, after suffering through part of Goldberg's third or fourth appearance with Noory (couldn't take any more than just part), I emailed the hypno-dentist, basically saying that he's either delusional or a complete charlatan. In addition to other claims/predictions, I took him to task on the one that, in a life-to-come, Noory will be hosting a radio show and that his name will be "Dexter Monterey" (which sounds like it's from some bad 1940s pulp sci fi).
Big surprise: no reply.
