I think you're overreacting to a couple of juvenile assbags. Most of the content here is intelligent and funny, and the hatred is almost always aimed directly at Noory, Wells, C2C production staff and the lamer guests, where it belongs. You know, folks, this is where and why I think I'm going to bow out of this forum for a while. It never fails - I join a forum in order to discuss, share some laughs, have some fun, consider others ideas and opinions regarding the forum's respective subject matter, and without fail, the forum always morphs into utter toxic waste. I can not even imagine myself, for one second, conducting "a little research" on a forum member (and I question as to how one would even go about such a thing, but I politely digress). That alone blows me utterly away; I have neither the time, the inclination, nor the passive-aggressive element residing in me in which to do such an inane thing. I've seen posts by members that I particularly don't personally care for - that's my prerogative. On the flip side, I'm sure some (or who knows, perhaps all) of my posts do not resonate with forum members here - that is, of course, their prerogative. In terms of myself and posts and members I don't care for (albeit I don't know them on a personal level) I choose the high road - I simply ignore. Yet to come onto a forum and announce that one has spent precious time "researching" a member...wowza...that's another kettle of fish. It's disturbing (yet sadly comical) on so many levels.

To the great members who inhabit this forum, thanks so much for your thoughts and the sharing of your (often times wacko yet very entertaining) humor. It's been a blast blasting George Noory and C2C with many of you. I've very much enjoyed your on-line company. I'll come back to this site should I discover that a little humanity and decency prevails and resides here.

Well, I for one don't think you're being a "woman here" - THANKS, MICHEAL! LOL! ;-) - but yeah, I agree with these guys, just chill and don't acknowledge and feed em', and they'll eventually starve and die. The reason I mention this is, some time ago a little research yielded a CG member and her sexual proclivities - some of which were quite bizarre I must say - but did include females. It was yucky to say the least. I certainly won't out her here. She tends to be a "one-trick pony" (whoa - poor choice of words) when it comes to post topics... I'll leave it at that. (Besides - this is way off topic)

Oh yeah.  Still, I think in all the years I have been coming here, I can count the bans on one or two hands, which is pretty good for a forum of this size and longevity.  Speaks pretty well to the overall quality of members.

oh yeah, i agree completely.  usually this place runs its self quite well with very little "maintenance."  i can be away for days without looking at a single thing and feel comfortable that the forum hasn't been destroyed while i was away.  it also helps that there is only one moderator.  the big mistake in the past was having too many moderators because mods are like hammers; to them, everything looks like a nail.  it causes far more problems than any trouble making user can cause.

I used to be friends with a guy, a real scumbag, who would constantly spy on his real life friends just so he could spread rumors and delight in what he saw as their shortcomings.  He was a deeply insecure individual who was never very successful at anything and somehow felt that keeping tabs on people gave him some sort of upper hand. I finally cut ties with this person, so I know what you're saying. 


However, I don't thnk what Hal did really falls in that category.  If someone acts in a deliberately provocative manner and takes no attempt to hide their persona(s) on the Internet, they should know they'll get found out eventually.

Aw, Christ, I never got to judge his art that he said he would post but didn't.  Hey, if it was good, I'd admit it.  But I would have been surprised.  I know a LOT of people that think they are artists.  The truth is, they just don't have anything better to do. Out of the scores of 'artists' I know, only one was actually really talented.  She was absolutely certifiably insane though.

Yes, KSFO 560AM.  I was shocked it was gone.  There was no annoucement ahead of time, but that is the way of radio.  C2C isn't on any of the other Bay Area talk stations I checked either.  And that Red Eye Radio is horrible!  I am listening to c2c on the KFBK live stream now.

I was looking for the "c2c no longer in ____"  thread, but I couldn't find it.

I also responded it was KSFO after i posted about Coast leaving the SF area. 

Also, I like Red ICE Radio - not the Red EYE Radio that they replaced coast with.  It is very different.  I listened to about 5 minutes of Red EYE and couldn't stand it.  I have listened to Red ICE Radio on You Tube and really enjoyed it.  It comes out of Europe and has a very different flavor.  It's open minded yet discerning.  balanced with a lot of oak and berry - but I digress.

Maybe the best example was when Hoagland was interviewed by these level headed types and  - well  - it's just so funny when he trots out his "physics theory" and fails to mention that he calls it "hyperdimensional physics".  Hysterical when he drops all these names to give himself credibility.  Anyway they do lots of interesting interviews on subjects I like regarding consciousness and ancient history and stuff like that.

You have to wonder about a fringe show that couldn't cut it on the west coast.  We are fringe central out here.  KSFO is going very right wing so maybe it was time for Coast to exit stage right.  Maybe it will reappear on the other station the other poster mentioned.

Since this was posted I've been thinking that it sounds familiar, that I've heard it before. And I have. It's in the 18th Chapter of Luke when the self-righteous Pharisee loudly prays that he is thankful that God made him better than a low, common sinner like other men:

Though it may be naive of me, I'm going to give the man the slightest benefit of the doubt - I'm sure in his 60+ years living and breathing, he realizes that chicken is not part of a vegetarian's diet. Maybe he even knows that those who make the exception of fish are referred to as pescetarians. What he, in this bizarre ill-timed moment did was perhaps try to be [shudder] funny. I was actually half-enjoying the show thus far since we were spared from him droning on as much as usual, but he made sure to leave his mark with that one.

Please Noory, I don't think you're a sadistic man at heart. Spare the listening audience the torture of your bullshit. Cleverbot could do your job ten times better than you already do...maybe Premiere should think of that before handing you money to be a complete dolt.

Noory's buffoonery was so acute that it has stuck in my head for days. Some nights I listen on air but otherwise I find pretty much all the shows are uploaded to Youtube the next day in their entirety.

A brief continuation of my Cleverbot experiment:

Just hook it up to a text to speech program and you've got AI arguably more perceptive than Noory. Although it did kind of fail by asking Noory to tell a story. Noory likes nothing more than to tell his god-awful stories.
