Last night's show was so infantile with his self amusing sound effects and silly game of "silent clues" when giving away the Ancient Alien DVD's.  It was like listening to a man with dementia trying to entertain himself. God he's awful!

So when will we begin to see the light at the end of this dark Snoory tunnel?

I am new to this board, and really appreciate level of intelligence of its members, and its laugh out loud humor provided by Ol George.

I have not yet had the chance to hear George tell his "Escape from Mexico Story."

I imagine calling him and our conversation going something like this:

Me: Hi George, long time listener, first time caller. Could you tell me about you certain escape from the clutches of death in Mexico?

George: Well Ive told it many times before.. but Blah Blah Blah.
(While George is talking, I am playing the prerecorded sound of a rooster over and over)

Me: Gee George, that was a harrowing tale. When you were in the Navy, were you a SEAL?

George: No..but Blah Blah Blah.

Me: Well George, that story has "Blockbuster" written all over it! I can see a younger Clooney play you!

George: Well, you never know...  Blah Blah.

Me: Well George, I'm just glad you escaped and weren't sold into sexual slavery forced to trade your body for cheap trinkets from drunk cruise ship passengers!

George: Isn't that something.

It seems like Noory will likely result in the cancellation of Coast. I went from being someone with no opinion to 'holy shit this guys an asshole' in a few weeks.

I actually tolerated Noory for a while but when I heard him do the sound effects the other night I was done. 

I'm really hoping John Wells can do the show M-F and Punnet on Weekends. 

Next thing you know Noory will be showing off his break dancing skills..... on the radio.

Noory to caller:  "Hey check out my break dancing skills" 
-- Sound of intense ruffling on air
Norry:  "pretty good ain't I?"

Caller hangs up on him.

I lived in Vegas until 2010 and Goerge Knapp is a highly respected investigative journalist for the CBS affiliate. He has broken many good stories and also writes a respected weekly column. I was actually surprised that someone of his claiber would hotr Coast to Coast as led by George "Don't Let Facts or Reason get in the way" Noory.

Wells is the wrong choice for Coast since he is extremely biased and takes the show in a fundamentalist direction. Wells would put a bullet in the show even faster than keeping Noory around. Sadly, I think this is probably the most likely outcome and would not at all be surprised to hear Wells taking the reigns sometime in the near future. May as well just hand the show over to Alex Jones, which I also wouldn't be too surprised to hear about at this point.

Wells also SUCKS like Noory.  And add to that the fact that Wells is a HAM!  The first hour of the show with that Douglas Dietrich fellow's endless rattling off of senseless verbosity bored me to death.  I was beginning to doze off to dreamland, and Wells did nothing to liven up the segment.  Was he dozing off, too?  Tonight seems to be the show's WORST episode yet I've listened to.

They may as well turn over C2C to Rush Limbaugh's hosting.  At least the show'll end up with a squealing pig than an ugly boar!  The show is dying, dying, dying . . . dead.  Geez, not even one of their psychic guests sees this coming.  What are they all -- ass lickers?

It would be totally disgusting and the rock bottom pits for the show on the day that Noory does the sound effect of a fart . . . by FARTING loudly in front of the mike on the air.

Except that there seem to be a lot of new people who have joined in the past week or so. But their motives are the very same as all of us who came before them: they just could no longer take how unprofessional, unprepared, inattentive and generally incompetent Simple George is. And with this latest "mouth noises" incident, he's added "contemptuous of his audience" (or maybe just "drunk") to his list of deadly sins.

Worst of all, there is no sounding board at C2C to let them know how offensive we find Noory's conduct and performance. Because, as George has made known several times on air, and as some folks here have found when they tried to bring some of the well-known problems to Noory's or his staff's attention, anything less than slobbering kisses on Noory's feet gets you permanently relegated to the "hater" file.

More and more C2C fans are giving the show up in frustration as they finally realize Noory is incapable of improving, even if he wanted to...and that the only hope of saving the show is to get rid of him. As H.L. Mencken so aptly said, "Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats."

That time is here. So let us sharpen our blades, raise the black flag and play El Degüello in recognition that no quarter will be asked or given.

Why did Art Bell just retire so suddenly?

Publicly, Art made it known that he was retiring from the show to enjoy his then new-found old age fatherhood and to settle down quietly into the bliss and life of his second marriage.

However, and this is my ten cents worth behind the scenes, I feel that Art was pressured or manipulated into retiring by certain people or forces of power or influence (the Illuminati?) who wanted to eliminate Art from the C2C airwaves.  (Art was probably getting too testing for them and too controversial for their comfort with his investigative inroads over the C2C show.)  I take note of how Art began sharing and claiming over C2C that immigration officials were making life difficult for his foreign Filipino wife (and him correspondingly).  There was one particular show episode where Art had to publicly rant and rave over the airwaves regarding the ridiculous unfair treatment they were being given by the immigration office.  Not long after that event, Art phased out of the show. 

If you believe in cause and effect, add the numbers; you'll get the result.  You won't need the Numbers Lady for that.

I'm still surprised that Art hasn't done a subscription based podcast / web show yet.   A live video show would be awesome.

maybe george's seemingly amplified suckage is a passive agressive way of dealing with the fact that he (george) thinks he's going to get fired and replaced.  as in ... i'll ruin your damn show before i get fired from it.  just a thought.

Didn't Art first retire in the late 90s due to something going on with his son? Then after he came back he took a lot of time off in the early 2000s claiming he had unbearable back pain due to some old injury. On a night by night basis you would never know if he would do the show. Eventually he used that as an excuse to retire from the weeknight show. It seemed like it was just an excuse to not do the show.

Art is a weird fellow. His wife Ramona died suddenly a few years ago and then a few weeks later he married a 20 year old. I'd like to see Noory do a show investigating that.

I distinctly remember one night he came back from a break moaning and going "Oweeeee, OMG." He explained that he was having some work done on a front porch, he'd forgotten and walked out of the door, to plunge 3ft to the desert floor. No wonder his fucking back hurt.

Interesting, bdubb.  I think you are on to something there.  I kept feeling embarrassed for him while listening.  There were a lot of douche chill inducing moments.
