A few pointed questions...OK...but I think don't think Noory's job is to debate or challenge guests.  Wells has adopted that approach and I think it really damages the format.  Besides, Noory never seems to gain any real knowledge to support his positions'; eg Sitchen's blatherings; and would be blown out of the water by almost any if he tried to challenge on points.

Then someone will come on the show and at some point it turns out they have a different opinion on some topic George regularly beats his breast about, and George is absolutely silent. It's more weird than anything else, but it it just further evedence that George Noory doesn'thave the abiliy to articulate his thoughts or defend them.

Ye gods. Neither Simple George nor his simple caller who was close in age to George have any idea who Joyce Kilmer was, or have ever read or heard Trees. It's doggerel, but every Boomer, as well as their parents, was introduced to it and the "War Poets" by the 10th grade, and Kilmer was the leading American example - it's one of those common cultural touchstones that everyone, at least of those generations, knows.

Anybody else hear Simple George talking (again) about his narrow escape in Mexico, when he said something about not knowing the name of the guy 'who whisked all of us to the airport' ? The original story implied that Noory was alone in the cab. Even if the tale is true, a number of people in the car makes the possibility of kidnapping a lot less likely. If you're going to tell lies to a national radio audience, SG, write the details down so you don't contadict yourself later.

Anyone catch Noorey's grab when a caller, who had been obsessed with the rock band, Metallica, shared a poignant moment where he heard a voice say "where's Metallica now" after passing out when he was injured.  It refocused him and changed his life.

Noorey, as dull as an overripe banana, has to respond by telling his guest about a time he was injured similarly back when he was a very young news director and it didn't hurt at all.

Way to miss the point, dude.  I seriously think the callers are there to kill time for how much he listens.

George isn't interested and doesn't care.  He's on record as claiming to be an expert in the Mid-East because when he was a kid he went with his father to coffee shops, and dad would talk to his friends about whut was goin' on over there.
 
If someone were to tell George that the Ayatollah was dead, George's follow up would be something along the lines of wondering if he's be on Facebook and Twitter, and how many friends and followers he'd have.

Yes, I heard his latest version of the Frito Banditos' murderous attempt on his life, Stevesh, and I thought "WHAT 'all of us'?" Left me confused.  Maybe one of these days I'll learn to remember that whatever personal story Simple George is telling is only half-true at best.

Bill still thinks by calling in to radio talk shows that will impress a girl to go out with him.
But so far in his 60+ years that hasn't worked.

The mystery is why the C2C producers keep putting that loser on the air. It couldn't be that they think he's articulate and actually has something meaningful to say. On the other hand, compared to Simple George (and Jesus B. Wells) I guess he is and does.

Classic Simple George performance tonight. The guest was enthusiastic and seemed knowledgable on an interesting subject, and Noory spent at least a third of the show talking about himself and his family. Obsessively narcissistic idiot.

The man has a book to sell; he's isn't likely to bite the hand that gives free PR.   Today its #130 of ALL books on Amazon; I wish I knew what it was last Friday.  That he probably sold a lot of this book to Noory loyalists speaks volumes about the state of C2C.
