Another annoying Nooryism -- George's assessment will be nowhere near a guest's assessment, and Noory glosses over the difference. ie George asks if A=B, and guest responds no, A=X and the delta between B and X is a yawning chasm Ray Charles can see.

     Oh, if Art could do one more show where he beats the crap out of Ed Dames for three hours, instead we get George softballing and playing footsie with Mr. killshot.  Considering George wrote the foreward to his lastest book, how could it be anything but an lame interview?  Well, with George, it can also be mind numbingly dumb.

     And speaking of calls, recently George has gotten into the habit of explaining the concept of listener calls. "Next hour we'll be taking your calls where you can ask questions and also tell us your stories of (insert whatever the subject is)."  Eh, No shit.  Just open the friggin lines and we'll take it from there.

I don't know the date, but the date on the file I made is 06/20/2009, which means maybe the day before? Don't really know - I keep a few moronic clips around then remix them for comedic purposes so the date when I make them and when they actually happen could be off by a while. As it turns out, 06/19/2009 was a Friday open lines night, so I wouldn't be surprised if that was the date.

     Actually he said, "we've got to do it together, or we'll hang separately, as they say", which, of course, they don't say.  I don't think George has ever corrected himself on any of his flubs, and I'm beginning to think all those little antedote stories he has for whatever topic is on hand are a bunch of bullshit.  Tonight he said he was on a rollercoaster ride and a lady sitting next to him fell out, thus underscoring that when you're on a rollercoaster ride (the economy) you have to "hang on."  Yeah, right. What is he, on drugs?
     Gerald Celente disappointed me on an earlier appearance on c2c, but I don't recall exactly why.  Something about wanting to move to Canada.  He's a smart guy and very colorful, but tonight he joined the army of talking heads that heap praise and awe at the Chinese military and shudder at a confrontation.  He talked about the inability of our military to "do anything properly."   Two things:
     1.  We presently have a shit load of war experience.  From our generals down to our privates.  Not just broad battlefield stuff, but house to house crazy Fallujah type stuff.
     2.  The Chinese have experience in...shooting monks...and mowing down students with tanks.

I think you're close - more like TICKED off. As I recall, Ian had the gonads to actually ask challenging questions of Quayle, things that any normal human would ask  - well, except for Quayle's favorite butt-pirate (sorry ladies) Snoory.

It got uncomfortable, as Quayle isn't used to being asking meaningful questions, and became nonplussed.

Ian, the following weekend, for TWO nights in a row, apologized profusely about the previous week's show with Quayle. It was clear that either Snoory, the network, or both had Ian come into the office, bend over and grab his ankles - without giving him any lube (sorry again ladies).

So I kept those shows, and labeled them the Ian vs. Quayle Smackdown.
