I agree with you. I would be ecstatic if he was the main host. It's a shame that he has one or two other careers that prevent him from hosting more often. He's the best fit for Coast IMO.

But that's a fault of the host. During Art's interviews, he was able to steer Kaku away from the stuff we've heard about before into new ground and have interesting discussions. I don't put the blame squarely on Kaku for not being able to carry the show.

Kaku as smart as he is, has become a performance whore. He is more interested in being seen than presenting the beauty and mystery of science. Hence his presence with noory. No one is so oblivious to think c2c is a forum for interesting and engaging dialogue.

Listening to George is very similar to watching soap operas.  I took a week off and it feels just like I had never left.  We are still beating the same drums of "people are acting weird, sumptin' is happening... you can just feel it- people everywhere are walking around like zombies."  Really George?  People everywhere are walking around like zombies?  I assume that excludes his brilliant listeners who "just seem to get it."


I find my ears are bleeding after less than a half hour.  Oh, come back Valdez!  Save me from having to subject myself to George to know what happens tonight...

Perhaps the week away from Coast had done me some good.  I really can no longer take S.George.  Tonight's final straw arrives when the guest is talking about offshore drilling discoveries and naming places where discoveries are being made.  In typical George fashion he interrupts his guest in mid sentence with the question "what about Montana?"  Now, my mind starts "doing" the required geography.  Like the mind of any Canadian living directly over Montana, it takes a full five seconds to recover and realize that there is no possible location for "off shore" drilling in Montana.  I can't take those abrupt turns and logic disconnects this close to bed time.


With it mostly background noise tonight I believe I heard another reference to Georges near miss with kidnapping in Mexico in addition to numerous callers blowing smoke up Georges ass.  Is this a new requirement to make it to air?  The screener requesting the caller reassure George and stroke his ego once the call is answered?


Also, everything all night has been "I just feel there is more"; "Something has to give"; "Something is happening."  It's like a frickin religion with this guy.  He is the new leader of the "something" cult.  He has no damned idea or clue, but knows that he will be right if in reference to political tensions he comments that there is "something" to it- that there is "something" that the public does not see and that "something" will most likely result from the tensions. 

I may have to take another break from listening.  I think I may listen to "something" else for the next few nights.

Even George can feel it.  That thing he feels, that sumpthin' oozing around him that George can't quite put his finger on is that he sucks and his show is terrible.
 
Zombies?  His fellow employees can't be giving off good vibes, it can't be great knowing one is working on a pointless worthless show that they've help run into the ground.  Or the people domes into contact with daily, th wait staff at the restaurants, the person making coffee on the way to work, what a creepy greasy joke he must be.

Of course Snoory will ask Dames who is going to win the election in November.  Dames will predict widespread unrest, financial disaster, and martial law.  Noory will remind Dr. Dim that the Mayan's predicted the world will end on 12/21.  Dames will offer some intricate explanation of why that won't happen, only to resurrect the killshot, rescheduled for a more convenient future date.  More of the same BS from Dames, same as when he was on with AB, only so much less interesting (if that is even possible) with the clown that is Snoory on the other end of the mic.  Fuck me.
