Maybe I am a bit of a newbie to the whole anti-Noory movement, but why do people hate him so? I've listened to a few C2C shows with him hosting but could never figure this out.

without getting into too much of it, i think people simply feel like he ruined a great radio show.

1.  No intelligence or knowledge about subject matter

2.  Lousy interviewer, uses canned questions

3.  Ass kiss, of both the low intelligence listeners and nut-job guests

4.  No sense of humor

5.  No affinity for the great music of our time

6.  Paranoid: afraid of clowns, vaccines, fluoride in water, the Illuminati, etc.
     Admits to taking 30+ different supplements a day, swears by turmeric

7.  Flat-out liar, stating that C2C is #2 when it's about #12 or 13; claims at age
     61 that he doesn't color his phony black hair,  claims a lifelong interest and         
     unsubstantiated interest in the paranormal.

I could go on and on, but that's a summary of the usual complaints about Noory.  If you listened for a few years like I did and then recall Art Bell, the Master, the difference is amazing.

Yeah I have to agree with you on that.  Art's shows just seemed to flow more naturally for Christ sakes the man used to do 5 hr interviews with guests.  Noory has to break it up into two guests because he doesn't have skills as a broadcaster to do a full show on one topic.

I think a lot of us feel that PRN took our ice cream and gave us a shit sandwich.

It takes a while for George's real character to ooze through that benevolent avuncular mask he wears.  It took me years to realize what a liar he is, and how he deliberately misrepresents himself on a regular basis.


I hate him for the same reason I hate people like Jim Jones who got all those gullible people to drink that nasty Kool-Aid.

Up until awhile ago I would have said that I don't hate George.  I would have happily said that I was just upset with an incompetent taking over and essentially ruining a good show.  However, when George tells his listeners several times a month that they should quit their traditional medical treatments I no longer feel that way.  While I would like to believe that most of his listeners are not stupid enough to go with him, he will influence some of them.

Several cancer shows back I decided that George wasting away with the disease could potentially save other peoples lives.  Now I believe that the shorter Georges life is the better off the world will be.  Naturally Alzheimer's, severe brain damage, stroke or paralysis could have the same benefit.  I find that misfortune for him would have an overall positive influence on the world in general.

I know it isn't nice of me.  However, using the public airwaves to spread misinformation and fear telling people that following their oncologists advice will kill them isn't nice (nor moral) either.  I have worked with several people who have Schizophrenia (they were volunteers.)  They already believe that the medication they are taking (in some cases court ordered) is not necessary.  To have this useless so called human being agreeing with them for ratings while he sits completely unaffected by his actions chuckling like an idiot has made me realize that he is human excrement.  Yes, I hate him and wish him death (quick and painless or slow and lingering makes no difference.)

*** I realize that may sound harsh.  Him quitting broadcasting would suffice... but he promises to stay on as long as he is able, leaving me with no option but to hope fate cuts his plans short.

But turning him off in our individual homes doesn't stop the damage he does on this issue.  Last night he had the hyperventilating woman with the heart condition, the one who saw her own "ghost" portending her own death (or so she believed).  At one point Jorch asked her what she was doing for her heart condition.  She said she had medication but had flushed it down the toilet because it gave her headaches.

Did he EVEN ONCE suggest she needed to follow her doctors' orders and take her medications?  No. 

Did he EVEN ONCE suggest that flushing medications instead of taking them might result in the death she was so afraid of?  No.

I think when he asked what she was doing for her heart condition, he was looking for something like, "Taking turmeric."

If Noory would stick to selling his garbage at Mensa meetings I wouldn't care.  The problem is that his broadcasts reach the gullible, the feeble minded and the mentally ill just the same as they reach everybody on this board.  For instance, I do not hate Madoff... I can not improve on what you just said.  I was trying to think of a way to express myself but this sums it up perfectly...  My hatred has nothing to do with his incompetence; I can always turn off the radio.  Just turning off the radio is akin to turning your back on a man who is beating several mentally handicapped people (undoubtedly, in some cases until they are dead from heeding his free medical advice.)

It most certainly is.  That pleasure is to be reserved for orderlies and school teachers.  Can you imagine the disorder if everybody should be allowed to run around beating the severely handicapped?  What possible reason would there be to train as an orderly if the highlight of each day should be to change diapers on adults and not beat people mercilessly with wild abandon?

I think we're quibbling over semantics here, but Marc you always come up with such reasonable assertions that you catch my attention.  It could be that Noory is just too self-absorbed to realize the harm he's doing.
