I think we're quibbling over semantics here, but Marc you always come up with such reasonable assertions that you catch my attention.  It could be that Noory is just too self-absorbed to realize the harm he's doing.

     No, but it does bring us up to 85% non-hate.  I'll consider it a changed vote, completely allowable under the rules and stipulations.

I will continue to wish him death or debilitation... but I can quite easily do it without hatred.  I will replace my dislike for Noory with concern for those who he hurts.  I am perfectly willing and capable to use my concern and love for others as a basis for wishing the universe would snuff somebody who is damaging.  In this manner we become a group who can proclaim our lack of hatred for the man who believes we are all "haters."

Is the opposite of hate love? 

I know the opposite of love is not hate but indifference.  Does the reverse hold true? 

I am not indifferent to Noory.  He is revolting on many levels.  But I reserve hatred for a small and special segment of society.  Baby killers.  Baby rapers.  People who abuse the elderly and people who abuse animals.  That kind of thing. 

Anyone who subjects himself/herself to Noory has a choice.  An off button on the radio.  I listened to Art for years for fun, entertainment, and enlightenment.  I listen to Noory now mostly to pick at his weaknesses.  (There's a perverse fun, like picking at a scab or popping a pimple.)  But I can turn him off at any time, and I often do.  A dog thrown down a garbage chute after being nearly starved to death (see Patrick the Miracle Dog's story) can't escape the wretched hate-worthy person who tried to kill him any more than Jessie Lunsford could escape that wretched hate-worthy John Evander Couey.

The problem with Noory is not just him. It's his network that seems to have NO standards for what they let on the air nor do they seem to give a damn that in all probability, people are no longer listening to  the show whenever Snoory comes on.

Everyone rises to their level of competence, but in Snoory's case, he's already in the sewer heading towards senility.

In a perfect world, Art would come on one night and tell Snoory " You're fired " though I'm sure that the Donald would do it as a specuial guest appearance.

The prediction about Snoory's prostate was one of the funniest things I've ever read. I'm glad I wasn't drinking coffee or something as I burst out laughing.

I HATE Snoory. I HATE him for ruining my favorite late night talk show, for being a boob and an idiot and for no one having the guts to tell him so. I noticed the other night all the people calling him saying how they love him yet I have yet to hear anyone ever call him and criticize him for what he has done to drag the show down.
Even JC doesn't get on anymore even though Snoory recently mentioned him.

I will make this 2012 prediction.

An alien race will show up, make an apology for leaving Snoory on the doorstep of his parents and apologize to the human race for subjecting the airwaves to his prattle. Unfortunately, due to galactic noise pollution laws, they are not allowed to return their starchild back to their galaxy.

Several cancer shows back I decided that George wasting away with the disease could potentially save other peoples lives.  Now I believe that the shorter Georges life is the better off the world will be.  Naturally Alzheimer's, severe brain damage, stroke or paralysis could have the same benefit...

I am not really sure anyone could tell much of a difference.  It certainly wouldn't cause his enablers to remove him.

Maybe I am a bit of a newbie to the whole anti-Noory movement, but why do people hate him so? I've listened to a few C2C shows with him hosting but could never figure this out.

For me it is his laziness, the absolute refusal to come to the show prepared, unless it's one of a very few topics he's interested in.
 
Too much of the time he doesn't even appear to be listening, just reading off the next question on his list when the guest stops to take a breath - no back and forth, no real conversation, just ramdom questions, often stupid or repetitive, jumping from topic to topic without any sense of continuity.  How many times has a guest said something interesting, astonishing even, and George ignores it and just moves onto the next cue card.  How many times has a guest spent several minutes building up to an interesting point, only to have the Snoron cut them off and say something stupid.  Or the glee he seem to take in reporting stories involving dead children or mangled animals during the news segment.  I could go on and on, and still not get to his low IQ, his mangling of the language, his lack of knowledge or interest in the world around him, his refusal to improve, the personal stories that don't ring true but still manage to make him seem creepy, the false 'nice guy' stuff.
 
It takes awhile to realize he does this constantly.  Not really paying attention to the show, or listening just periodically for a couple of segments, the Suckage doesn't really sink in right away.

I don't disagree; there is an off button.  The problem is that I have worked with schizophrenics, the mentally challenged and those who do not have the mental capacity, awareness or ability to discern reality from a radio hosts sick rantings that you and I have.  One man in particular was convinced that his medication was hurting him and unnecessary (sound familiar?)  It was court ordered and a nurse had to administer it.  I can guarantee that he NEEDED it (he could provide reviews that could be posted on hotels.com on the various institutions in the province.  This one has bowling, that one had a nice view and yet another had a friendly staff.)  When he was ranting I had to be careful in my response.  I would not sit there and argue with him that it was necessary (there would be no point and the judicial system had already seen to it that he had no choice) but I also could never agree with him.  I refused to reinforce his diseased idea or give him any indication that he might be right.

Norry on the other hand plays into a mentally ill persons delusions that the medication is harmful.  The recent example of him telling the guy who saw his father in the mirror that it was really a demon is a prime example of his douchbaggery.  If he tells you or I that there is a demon in the mirror we laugh at him and move on.  Somebody who is mentally unstable suddenly is plagued with demons in his life.  The guy is f#cking scum (though I maintain my hate-free status.)

Perhaps we differ in our perception of how a voice on the radio can influence a class of people who are susceptible and the damage that voice can do.  You and I turn the radio off but there is a class of people who are already victimized in society who are praying for a voice in the darkness to reinforce their illness.   George is kind enough to provide it.

I assumed the mirror guy was another of the paid actors C2C has had on during Open Lines lately. If not, then yes,  Noory is the worst kind of dirtbag scum.

I really loved the old Simpsons episodes that I grew up with in the early and mid 90's.  Then after 7 or 8 years they changed it from a family, story oriented, funny show that was animated into a full fledged cartoon with completely implausable plots and celebrity tie ins.  I just stopped watching and have the DVDs of old seasons to watch now when I get the urge.  It had a pretty good run while it lasted.

Just like CTC, the Simpsons now have more sub-standard years under their belt than classic good years.  At some point you just have to let go.  And I don't buy the mentally i'll reason.  If we all need to be careful of what we say because it could set off someone who is completely disconnected from reality....well we're pretty fucked.

I agree with you WOTR, but Noory's response to genuine mental illness is merely that they're lacking the correct nutritional supplements.  He admits to taking 30+ a day.  He's too dumb to realize that his turmeric is not addressing his own deep-seated mental problems.

I don't think we really disagree at all, WOTR.  You've just made an excellent argument demonstrating that a certain group of folks are as vulnerable and helpless at Noory's hands as a child at the hands of a predator or an animal at the hands of an abuser.

Hello.  New to this website.  I'm still working out how you " flip the switches and turn the nobs" of this site so that I can do things correctly.   I thought that this forum would a good place to start.   

I was introduced to C to C am about a year ago.  I was caught up in the strangeness of the show and how listening to these people, (guests and callers) has been very interesting.  (Kind of like watching a Hippo taking a dump, I know I shouldn't watch, but I can't turn away.)   So, I can't stop listening.   But yet something in the back of my mind was screaming at me about the show.  I could not make out what the screaming was trying to tell me.   Just that something wasn't right.   Then I happened upon this website and all of a sudden I could understand what the screaming was saying,  "There is more to what your hearing from these people on the radio and this is the place to find out." 

I look forward to being involved in the forum topics in the future.  I, like many of you, have opinions regarding Coast to Coast and would like to participate.   I can't stop looking at that Hippo. . . Help me to understand why!

Don't pay me no mind, sorry if you misunderstood my post.  I am pleased to welcome you to the sight.  It is good to have another member's viewpoints on this forum.  I sometimes just get off on silly tangents.  I do not know Latin, but I always love to learn.

Please share and comment.  Personally, I love Coast and I am even a Coast Insider, part of that exclusive club that George mentions everynight.  You will find that I am even a Noory supporter, sort of a minority member, but still a voice among the posters.

The only thing I'd like to add is that the people who listen to Noory and buy into his misguiding ignorance don't have to be any more psychotic than the average person.  I know many who function "normally" in society but just have very poor judgment and reasoning skills.  They are legion. They fall prey in droves also.
