I think a single donkey is better - with the bright red and the flashing - another donkey would just be way over the top.

That is the clean copy. It just doesn't display as such within the context of the message board. It appears Max extracted it properly, as it looks fine at the top of the page. I agree that it looks the best so far.

When you guys asked for banners - I specifically asked for specs before doing anything. Sure - being creative is fun - but I could have had more fun doing something that I thought could be used. The powers that be here have known from the day this request was made that I was using Flash as my medium. In fact - among the specs was this:

9) flash banners

So - I make one - which just as I suspected wasn't up to specs. Made a second quickie just for yucks - repaired the one that was not up to specs - got an idea (very detailed concept that took HIM time and creativity to come up with) from another forum member that I did and do think was GREAT - and took me about 5 hours in all to execute. So -- WHY DIDN'T ANYONE SAY TO ME: "Oh, we don't use flash here"

Frankly - it feels shitty. I LOVE Cam's banner and if it had been a contest well - them's the breaks. BUT I was told the first banner (obviously flash) could be used tidied up and resized. So - I kept going.

I'm gonna stop now . . . I'm not pretty when I'm angry.

its the forum that is a bitch about flash...

we want banners of all types

all with a return url to http://www.coastgab.com embedded in flash banners.

the idea is to have shit loads of banners and styles that people can pick from...

and yes we will have a page setup for banners...

we plan to have a page with the banners on it with all the codes so people can copy and paste the code to their site.

we just have not gotten there yet.

By the way, I spent like 20 minutes on this and I don't even know if the size specs are right, but it's 700-somethingx90..er..well yeah, I might make a serious one at some point, but here's what I did for laughs. The green on the caricature of his face was a weird MSPaint error..but I thought it made him look even ganglier, so I kept it on. Haha.

But anyways, I don't expect it to be used. I'm just bored and not really doing anything this evening so I started playing around. I'll make more at some point. Personally, I use an online banner-maker, then save the original JPEG and paste it in MSPaint, then edit it with images and remove any watermarks and stuff. I wish I could use photoshop or something but I'm more of a music man than an artist. My greatest piece of work is a picture I made of Heath Ledger's head shooting a laser beam at people at Best Buy (long story behind that one.)

Oh, and another of my crowning achievements in MSPaint...

So yeah, you can't expect much from me..but I'll try anyways. lol.

however, god's gift has a couple problems.

firstly, i see some discoloration on the bottom left corner. i'm assuming this is where you removed a watermark? can you get this thing together without that discoloration?

also, can you make the yellow text just a bit more focused and precise? it's a bit strenuous on the eyes.

OH LORD ABOVE, I PRAY THAT THESE MODIFICATIONS CAN BE MADE, because the concept is precisely what we are looking for.

by the way, evb... as mentioned, let me know when your banner has entered the final "phase" as they say.
