Noory's callers (especially on Friday nights) have changed since many of us found the show. There was a time when there were many great calls about flying saucers and scary monsters, and some of the ghost stories kept you on the edge of your seat. How things have changed! I'll list a few of the present preferred callers, and you can add your own.
1.The Flatterers:
These callers, some of whom believe what they say, obviously are given preferential treatment, and they go to the head of the call line (a good way to get through the triple-screening process?). They praise Noory to the high heavens in an over-the-top manner, and he pretends to downplay it, although he lets them flatter him as much as they want. Some of their compliments sound as genuine as a three-dollar bill.
Caller Voice: George, you're the best talk show host ever, a combination of Einstein and Ghandi, and I credit you with helping save the world."
2:The Fanatics:
They also get preferential treatment, and there must be some kind of quota system for this type of caller. They often are the last caller of the night, and they insist that (the subject of the night) is really a demon, which makes you question why they even listen to the show. They are absolutely convinced that they're right, will not even listen to other views, and they often quote long verses of the Bible to "prove" their point.
Caller Voice: "The Bible says that ETs [or Bigfoot, ghosts, psychics, etc.] iz demons, and anybody who don't agree is blind and deceived."
3.The Regulars:
You recognize them by name or voice, and it seems like they get on the air several times a month. This proves that the rules of don't apply to them for some reason (some people think that they work for Prem Rad). I noticed that a Brooklyn woman seems to get on the air as much as Blair, from Arizona.
Caller Voice: "This is Annie, from Alabama, and I wanna talk about my new patent."
4. The "Depresser":
This type of caller likely is on the air more than any other type these days, sucking the life out of the room with their sad tales of woe. They're like depressing relatives that you dread to talk to at family reunions. Their calls are, more or less, just lists of personal tragedies such as life-changing injuries and terminal illnesses.
Caller Voice: "I saw my mother's ghost at the foot of my bed one night five minutes after she died from cancer, and she warned me that my alcoholic brother would soon perish in a car crash, and this on the heels of my dream that forecast the death of my drug-addicted sister whose son tragically...."
