Yeah... I'm not seeing what's good about this design as compared to the other. At all. I liked the other quite a bit. I agree with anagrammy all the way. This one is awfully... generic. I thought there was a technical problem at first and it went to some sort of default design. I'm still holding out hope that that's the case.
For those who like it... please explain?

I liked the darker look, too.
I thought there was a feature to change the layout for those who preferred a different color scheme?
