KNEEL!

The administration wants to make it a federal felony for anyone to stream copyrighted video or audio.

Just to show my ignorance, hasn't it always been illegal to do that without permission?

It does suck to lose access to streaming.

What really bothers me about this though is... How on earth did we allow the continuation homeland security?

Well folks you better start thinking about always having your papers with you.

Since I'm brown and live in Arizona, I always carry my papers with me.  Preferably Rizlas, or the Zig-Zag orange pack.

Oh when they come you are gonna get it.

ROTFLM@O - really. Classic.

They must have already come, because I already got it.

Having said that, it's apparently more economically feasible for them to let me work for a living, rather than haul my butt into one of AJ's FEMA relocation camps.

Still glad I was born here, yes sir.  I assume that means I have my papers.  BTW, the only thing that bothers me about the president's birth certificate is that he's younger than me.  People, we may be on the precipice of doom or salvation.

Bet on the doom.

I saw the article today about Obama's birth cert. Within minutes some in the birther movement were calling it fake.

Now if anyone wants to ride the "they are playing us and taking our money" that is where to buy your ticket.

Bet on the doom.

Amigo, I take this not, as you once described, as buzkill, but as a winning strategy.  Rather than sidewhack this thread any further, I shall consider "Bet On The Doom" as a new open lines thread, hoping you will beat me to it.

When my son was first diagnosed with schizophrenia, I asked his doctor why he wouldn't believe me when I told him there were no ants on the rug, etc.  He told me this:  in a fixed delusion, the person simply applies a rationalization, such as, "I'm the only one who can see them."  Seeing my puzzled look he gave me an example that I have never forgotten.

There is a little man living in my palm.  He's afraid of falling off so when I hold up my hand to show him to you, he slips between my fingers.  If I turn my hand to the back, he moves around to the front.  That's why you don't see him.

In modern parlance that morphs into, "They can do anything with Photoshop."

Anagrammy

If "Bet on the Doom" put out an album, I would buy it.

Dumping Streamlink sounds good to me. I don't have it and see no real need for it now since most all the shows are unlistenable to me.

Here is a free and legal way to get Coast or most any other streaming show. I just discovered it last week, heard about it on one of my many netcasts I download/stream thru the week. ..

Well, maybe I'll wait to post a link till I get a few posts under my belt, heh. I'm a noob here and not a spammer - I don't want to give that first impression. PM me and I'll give you the link. It's a cool service that records the audio of the stream to mp3 files stored in the cloud on its servers in 15 minute blocks. They give you 2 GB free storage, which is loads for lq audio stream mp3 files. I haven't took it this far, but I imagine there's a way to scavenge the mp3 file from your browser temp folder or wherever, then rename, splice, edit, etc.. But not sure. It could be impossible(not likely)..haven't checked yet.

In the day when the show had value I'd have already checked..but there's not much demand for Coast content in my house anymore.  :P But this service works great for real-time listening..skips the multitude of ads great and downloads fast.

nah, that's ok, coasted2.  go ahead and post the link.

The recording site is dar.fm, owned by Michael Robertson who is the founder and former CEO of mp3.com and the guy that did the Microsoft-like Linux distro, Lindows, now called Linspire. This is the main service that you subscribe, schedule and can listen on. They are stored on another site of his, mp3tunes.com. You can access them either site using your home PC, Roku box, or other internet radio and on-the-go using a smartphone or iPod Touch and their free apps.

I just started using this since I heard about it a couple of weeks ago but still don't catch Coast much. I try and try to listen over the last decade or so but the show most always sucks now..even the good ones.

Also, Michael V., I've read somewhere here that you and another member, evb have a show? Is it available just on the stream or do you release it in podcast form also?  I've been meaning to look but haven't yet. I briefly scanned your personal site but only saw rss links for comments and the blog.

Nevermind..found it!

http://ufoship.com/?feed=podcast

yup, that's the url for the rss feed for those who want to subscribe to the show in their podcatcher... or you can just go to RadioTrainWreck.com and play the show in an embedded flash player, or download it.

...They know full well that free recordings of broadcasts are essentially in the public domain (think Youtube, guys - they sure aren't asking for Art or George stuff to pulled from there, are they?  Because youtube would say "F U").

fwiw - late 2009 i started posting coast shows on my youtube channel, mostly because other coast-posters tended to be foaming-at-the-mouth Truther types - i was posting the more unusual and interesting topics, i like to think.

I stated clearly that 'if you liked this vid go to their website and subscribe, it's worth it' I spoke to several people who did indeed do this because of my vids(and i'd just like to apologise to each and every one of em lol)

anyway, point is - june/july 2010 every coast channel started getting flagged/shut down. they left me alone for quite a while, possibly cos i didn't have 1000s of subs, but eventually i got a couple of notices and decided to pull the plug myself.

yes, it's their product and they have the right to do this, but they've left stuff like that alone until the last year or two. why are they battening down the hatches so much?
(sorry, getting all conspiratorial there)

anyway, the punchline is that the first piece of audio they removed was... buzz aldrin confirming that they DIDN'T meet any aliens out there... and my yt peers are going 'they're suppressing the Truth' muhahah!!

Some Art Bell Programs

Here are all 38 programs in 6 RAR files. You must download all 6 files, then use almost any compression program (most support RAR files) to extract the files. Once all 6 rar files are downloaded, you need only EXTRACT from ONE RAR file - the program will extract all the files into the current folder. Total is just over 1GB.

You can also download more than one file at a time (I don't know the limit)

Download part 1  HERE
Download part 2 HERE
Download part 3 HERE
Download part 4 HERE
Download part 5 HERE
Download part 6 HERE

Part one is not a link.

I'm quite certain there USED to be a link, as it was downloaded roughly the same amount of times as the other "links" - my post was edited sometime in April, but maybe the new forum template may also have  been the culprit.

Nonetheless, here is the correct link(s):

Download part 1 HERE
Download part 2 HERE
Download part 3 HERE
Download part 4 HERE
Download part 5 HERE
Download part 6 HERE

Awesome, thanks for linking these again Hal.

Hope you are well.

Is there a good place to find recent "Somewhere in Time" episodes available for download? For example, I'd love to have last night's EVP / GIS show and there are a couple of recent ones I'm interested in, but I'm reluctant to give Premiere any more of my money.

You don't even have to post publicly if you're nervous about that sort of thing. You can PM me and point me in the right direction. I'm reluctant to download a big torrent, discarding all the Noory episodes for the sake of one or two Art Bell files. I thought some of you guys might be wise to archives or sources that I haven't found yet. :)

Thanks in advance!

Premiere Radio can kiss my ass. I cancelled streamlink / coast insider a while back. Waste of money even with Knapp and Ian.

Yep. I had some luck with Demonoid.

I never came back to say thanks for the help, so I'll say it now: Thanks for the help, guys! I found most of what I was looking for. Really appreciate it. :)
