ah man I know people have mused over it on this forum in the past BUT... wouldn't it just kick ass if Art's non-compete WAS up and he actually DID start another show and then BURIED via ratings the Noory headed c2c monster that we battle every night?
I have my new going-to-sleep happy thought!
i do agree, it would be great... but i just have a hard time believing any THINKING network executive is going to take the risk of hiring art with his history of retirements.
Oh, but we can dream. Just think of it if some other network backs a one-off, single-night show produced by and starring Art Bell. Set it for December 21, 2012, call it "The Great Event", or "The End Of The World" or whatever...and set it head-to-head against C2C. With enough advertising and stations I feel confident this could destroy C2C's audience numbers, at least for that one night. Imagine the ad....
"
FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY!!! ONE NIGHT ONLY! A head-to-head steel-cage broadcast death match! Listen as Art "Big Daddy" Bell, and his Original Show accept the challenge and come out of retirement to go up against George "The Conincidencinator" Noory!!!
FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY!!! ONE NIGHT ONLY! Art's show begins 10:00 p.m. PST (1:00 a.m. EST), and will run for 4 hours, or until the radio tower at the originating broadcast site in Pahrump, Nevada is destroyed by gargantuan tsunamis caused by the pole shift, whichever comes first. Art's show will be 4 hours of unscreened calls from around the world, with callers reporting on any major Earth events or phenomena. George is scheduled to have Glynis McCants, The Numbers Lady, in her record-breaking 127th appearance on CoastToCoastAM.
FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY!!! FRIDAY!!!...."
God what a point would be made
