I've misjudged this group in some very serious ways. I did not know the anti-hope, anti-social venom present in this group. I thought I saw a group passionate beyond passionate about the return of Art Bell to the radio. I now see a group locked into a paradigm which is antithetical to Art's return. You really DON'T CARE! Is there something unstated ABOUT Art that creates a chill in feelings? I've been attacked for admiring Art's marraige, and it's implications. Have the events of 9/11 made people afraid of fully advocating for Art's return, and the type of program Art conducts? Very strange!

Thanks.  My wife reads the forum sometimes and she told me I should 'stop being so mean.'  I told her if she wants perspective, read this entire thread.  Fort Rock is either an intentional asshole or an oblivious asshole.  Either way, he's an asshole.  Anyone with a different opinion hasn't read this thread.

There's a limit to accepting someone's trolling and idiocy, and those who haven't lived through it can't understand, General.  I often take flack from newer posters on the other board I referenced, because I nail the lying sucker every chance I get.  I got a chuckle the other day when one who told me I was being mean finally broke down and had to start pointing out the lies and moronic logic himself.

So lying to people about something they genuinely care about isn't malicious?  Manipulating a group of people to believe in your lies is not malicious?  All I did in my lengthy post was to recap what has happened so far with Fort Rock, just to bring everyone up to speed, including him.  He seems to be the most oblivious to what he did here.  How he could expect ANYONE on this board to be nice to him or take him seriously is beyond me.

I was here for the main event and I've read the thread. I've never bought any of Fort Rock's ravings, but I've never found them cruel or malicious.


I find many of the responses to him to be mean-spirited and unwarranted.  The ongoing diatribe, however, has definitely revived this dying thread.

People have lost their sense of righteous indignation.  It makes me sad but it explains a lot.  Like how our government rips us off and we sit around like sheep waiting to be fleeced. 

I'm not that upset by Fort Rock.  He's insignificant to me.  What upsets me is people's willingness to coddle liars and make excuses for other's bad behavior.
