FYI - if we experience that "return" we'll also experience my return to lurking

She'll be back.  But you can read about her decision to leave in this thread...

If you're bored.  But pack a lunch.  And drink some coffee.  It's a yawner.

I know a lot less about this forum than I thought I did. She seems to take herself fairly seriously. Way to break the liberal stereotype.

Agreed.  Kind of looks like "ghost" (a Great Pyrenees I used to own.)  Just so hard to tell from the little picture.

Another member posted a comment concerning hearing Art on KNYE giving the time. Surely before his sale of the radio station he had an agreement with the buyers that if his marriage did not pan out, he would have the option to purchase the company?
I have said that it doesn't seem likely that Art will work again on corporate or nationwide radio ever again. However, that does not include him returning to KNYE and at best, have the Art Bell Show on the air once more. Local on radio, global on internet streaming. A rebellion of sorts and a stake thru the heart of corporate Coast to Coast AM with Shit on my Lip Noory.
I firmly believe this statement and support it.  :D

A friend of mine used to show Great Pyrenees.  Great dogs.  All that white hair just jumped off them and onto me.  They always greeted me with a big old slobbery kiss.   ;D   No better way to be greeted in my book.  I think Questore's might be a Samoyed.  Pointy ears.  Doesn't matter.  Your dog is your best friend.   :)

It appears that Art is willing to talk about things on his Facebook page that are safe to answer.. his back, his wife.. his TV choices. But when it comes to Noory/Radio he is silent. But the KNYE hint and clue on there are enough for me to agree with your theory..

So did Art pop up on Alex Jones' show? I apologize for bringing up an old topic but I didn't see any conclusion to that. I'd imagine any official appearance of Art would be a big deal and I'd be fascinated to hear what Art said if this happened. I'm personally skeptical as I remember Art being fairly critical of Jones in the past but I'm still interested to know any details of what occurred.

It must have been a hoax, because I never heard him when I listened for several hours. Jones has some pretty "out there" ideas. To each his own.

Are we still staying tuned?

Doesn't seem to be any movement at the station.

I guess whatever we were staying tuned for has either stalled, not happening or was never going to be happening.

........Poof indeed. No more 'stay tuned' messages on Facebook.. no more intriguing photos of the radio room. Instead we get the wife and kids at Dennys.. the daughter on a horse.. and no face, voice, or hint of Art Bell. he must have got a new ride, I am sure we will hear about the new set of wheels soon. But those wheels don't take us into the night..no way or no how.
KYNE? ... calling all open lines.
I can't hear you.
And soon, the longer this delay in a return possibility takes... we won't hear magic in the night for good. Midnight in the desert. And no one under the stars... except for a bag of wind with cue cards and a few recordings to play to cut out early on Fridays.

Sigh............

Art would not be caught dead on Jones' show.

Agreed with the above; No way that Art Bell would be on Jones' show. Along with that thought, I am surprised with the amount of Art Bell friends on Facebook posting David Icke links and videos. They don't know history very well.... or just don't know the real Art Bell

I think Art is projecting his discernment and indecision on us with his cryptic hints at a possible return to radio.  We, in turn, suffer the ebb and flow of his unquenched yearning to return to the airwaves.  His pain becomes ours.

I believe I am correct about this.

Brilliant.. his pain is ours. I agree... and he wants us to crave his amazing radio as much as he does... I agree wholeheartedly..

Art has mentioned a few times he's dealing with his bad back again, having trouble getting out of bed in the morning, etc. because of the pain. Maybe that caused the delay in his "Stay Tuned" message?

Everyone believes themselves to be correct for certain.
No one can be correct for certain about the unknowable.
Therefore those that believe they are correct about the unknowable are certainly not.

Re: the Back Pain mentioned earlier.

That could be his reason for coming back (pardon the pun) to the US. He may be seeking more expert medical advice or care. Or it could be some other medical reason.

huh? Art Bell said years ago that was resolved by his losing weight.
That was an issue for him way back in 2002, not in recent years...

Art says he injured vertebrae in his back when he fell from a telephone pole while working as a cable guy years ago.  He says he's had pain ever since, and I can tell you that most people's pains increase with age.

On FB a few days ago, Art said "I hate my back.  It makes it impossible for me to jump out of bed a happy camper."

Even within the last month or two, Art has complained about his back acting up, on Facebook.  If you know someone or are someone with chronic back pain, you know it can be quite debilitating.  And just as it can diminish, it can come back with a vengeance, as my wife will attest to...

I had a bad back a few years ago and it was always at its worst whilst sitting at my desk for hours on end. At times it was so bad that sitting down was a no no. I once had to take a 3 hour plane flight and I had to stand for most of that time.
