Just think of it: AB may be coming back :) Of course just means one day closer to his next retirement. :'( I hope Premiere is looking for a real replacement.

"Sorry for so few posts but we are working on this house every day like dogs, much more soon."

Having re-analyzed this terse tidbit, my best guess is that Art is just stalling till he's legally free to reveal his upcoming plans.  And why would he bother to string along his fans unless he's simply acknowledging he'll be needing us to support him soon?  :D

Maybe he doesn't trust someone else to do the job right?
Maybe he doesn't trust someone else to be in the house?
Maybe he doesn't want to expose Airyn to strangers during what's already a stressful transition?
Maybe they just want the satisfaction of a job well done?

All good conjectures, Friend Morphia, but ... nah ...  ;)

Thought some of you might be interested in what just showed up in my Facebook news feed yesterday.  Sorry, I don't have screen cap capability (use Vista), but this is cut and pasted.  It seems that our own Ft. Rock was successful in getting a reply from Airyn Bell this past Thursday.  I've xxx'd out the actual name that many of you know as the person who went by the name Ft. Rock on this Forum to protect the guilty.

XXXXXXX XXXXXXXX Hi Airyn, just wanted to know how everyone are, as Art says "The AB's". Art's mention on Fantastic Forum 2, has the fans out here a little concerned. There's also some confusion about Art's Wikipedia entry about a move to Reno. Thank you Airyn!

Airyn Bell Hi XXXXXXX, we are all okey! We are very busy renovating some parts of our house and still not even half way done. But eventually we will be finish. And we are still here in Pahrump. We are happy that Asia lives it here, she found a friend our neighbor next door. And she she started her preK class yesterday!

XXXXXXX XXXXXXXX It sounds like everyone is settling in for the long-term! It sounds like Asia is fitting in well! School is especially good around this time if you've brought in any form of contractor on that home of yours with loud power tools and such. Its great that your really making that home "yours"! I know you cannot comment, but this lengthy of a return may indicate Art's return to broadcasting in some form!

Does anybody have a link to Art post about a move to Reno?

Someone should inform Airyn about this Fort Rock character. Was he the one who started the fake Art Bell Facebook page or was that just conjecture? For some reason I seem to recall that he was and was even unfriended by Art on FB. Is his real life persona friends with Art too?

It was noted last month on CG that the Wikipedia article on Art said he moved back from the Phillipines to Reno.  Morphiaflow said he wrote that article and that someone had evidently changed it to say Reno instead of Pahrump.  It looks like we now have a very good idea who the culprit was.

To the best of my knowledge, Ft. Rock was also indeed the one with the fake Arthur W. Bell III page, and FB finally shut it down.  Art also unfriended the guy, but Airyn obviously doesn't know who he is. I don't see how he can do her any harm, though.

Any chance that this dude could work for Preimere Networks Scully?

At this point, Art has a duty to his legacy as creator of Coast to Coast to either get rid of Coast to Coast AM through a new show OR to return and make night time radio decent. George Noory is awful and the show is an infomercial.

Have some pride Art.

i think Art long ago sold off that duty when he sold the show to what became Premiere Radio networks.
Premiere owns the show now and solely is responsible for it.
They want a yes-man like Noory as host and thats what they got. Their continued renewal of his contract indicates he is the network's choice, the listeners be damned.

C2C is no longer the show Art created, its called coast-to-coast-am-with-george-noory, a totally different show not related to the old Art Bell show.  ;)

Fort Rock reading about Reno on Wikipedia means that he was the one who wrote Reno on Wikipedia?  I don't follow that logic.

Thanks for posting this, Morphia.

My question, which I would only dare to say out loud on this forum is:

Can Art Bell really not afford to hire a little help around his place?

Am I the only one who thinks it's odd that he and Airyn seem to be doing all the heavy lifting themselves?  Airyn also posts on FB that she is worn out with all the work of moving in.

Jes sayin'.   :-\

Indeed.  Reminds me of the time that "Big Swinging Dick" Cheney showed up in a wheelchair for Obama's inauguration.  He said that he had sprained his back moving boxes of books back into his home library.  Since when does a VP move his own damned books?  Especially one with a heart condition, lol.

Anyway, Airyn's probably tired getting used to the time and scenery change.  Also, a lot of moms of young children want to care for them themselves, no nannies.  But doesn't Art have a bad back??????????????

Aw, lighten up and play the conspiracy game, Angels.  Who knows who changed Pahrump to Reno???  ::)

Hi, MV:

Thought I drop a line to you...hope you don't mind...on the Birnes' Future Theater Podcast, Bill Birnes said that Art Bell and family had moved back to the States and was going to be involved in an "internet radio" venture.  "Internet radio versus terrestrial radio" is how he described it. (Birnes is Noory's co-author, as you know.)  Nothing more, nothing less.  Thought this mention was interesting, but didn't want to start a riot.  Again, hope you don't mind.  Good day!

it was written by John Titor because of concerns about the alternate future timeline.  In his future the upper memory limits of the internet are only able to be read by the IBM 5100.  So they are left with this thread (which reaches 610 pages btw) and this: http://selleckwaterfallsandwich.tumblr.com/

If he does not keep the interwebs alive with this thread there is a chance all could be lost and he will be forced to browse all 2 pages of the alternate timeline forum thread "George Noory Quits Coast" on the website: http://coastflab.com which is managed by an admin named Fort Rock.

Rumor on the net:  The board op, producer and phone screener will be Fort Rock!   If the gig does not work out he is headed to Coast! (A reliable source told me that this weekend in Vegas.)

Art is on record as not wanting to do internet radio.  But he is also on record as changing his mind, 'taking risks', and keeping up with technology.  I don't think anyone is going to hold him to his comments regarding not wanting to do it a certain way.  Well, no one would except maybe George Noory.

And speaking of George - he is on record as saying the paranormal doesn't draw ratings.  So I'm sure he isn't too worried about Art's return... (cough)

Interesting. If found not to be a hoax, this could indicate the fears/thinking over at camp Noory (a haven for homosexuals). Art's gonna come back and fuck Noory up. They may even fight.

On this last Saturday's Art Bell somewhere in time replay from Feb 1997, it included the infamous incident where Art super-glued his lips together and tore off some skin trying to get it off.
Too bad he didn't know the secret to easily remove superglue from skin is to use some vegetable oil.

I loved the immediacy of the old Art Bell show.  It was literally from his house to yours.  I recall the superglue incident.  I also remember other things that made the show so endearing.  I recall it was the day before Thanksgiving and Art would mention that Ramona was in the kitchen starting the preparations for the next day's dinner.  It was just like at my house.

Here's another one.  I wonder if any other Art Bell "old timer's" recall it.   Art went outside during a scheduled break for a smoke.  He came back from break and said that  his porch was under construction.  Art said he stepped outside of his trailer into the dark and forgot that a hole had been dug where the new porch was to be.  When poor Art stepped outside he fell maybe 6 to 8 feet straight down into a hole.  Luckily, he wasn't hurt seriously but he had to end the show. At least Art came on for a minute after the break to tell the audience what had just happened.  Oh, those were the days my friend.  Will we ever experience them again.

I remember the porch event.. And of course the glue. It always felt like Art was your friend just trying to make sense of the day..as though you were just sitting around the kitchen table with whiskey and cigs late into the night. Then George Noory showed up when he saw the light on and both you and Art pretended to get tired

I like the idea of internet radio. Will be easier for those of us who are geographically challenged to listen live. Although in this day and age it is pretty easy to listen to radio broadcasts live right on my phone. BTW I'm an Aussie.

Who'd have thunk it back in 97 that in just 10 or 12 years I could listen to Art live whilst driving in my car on the other side of the world. Back then I could only listen to Art in the computer room at home during the middle of the day. No laptop back then and definitely no smart phone or computer of some description linked to the internet wirelessly in almost every room of the house. Back then I couldn't experience Art like y'all did listening in the car, driving down the highway at midnight, or at home in the dark in the dead of night with the lights out or sitting by the campfire roasting marshmellows. Now with the wonders of modern technology and 24/7 streams like the old Coastgab stream or my over 900 episode collection on my iPod I can experience the real classic Art Bell show the way it was always intended.

Kind of like a moth or mosquito...

I remember all those incidents just mentioned.  I totally agree that part of the magic of the show was the intimacy of it.  I live on Ohio so the show would start at 1:00am.  I am an amateur astronomer (very amateur).  There is nothing quite like being outside on a summer or fall night with the crickets chirping, looking at the stars and listening to Art Bell on an AM radio.  Even the tinniness of the AM adds to the ambiance.  I'd usually have a thermos of coffee tea or hot cider....oh the good old days... sigh...

Nothing will ever compare.
