Oh- how about the study done in early December which concluded that 1 in 3 toys made in China contained heavy metal with 1 in 10 containing high levels of lead?  (It is fine- heavy metals like lead, mercury, cadmium and arsenic are actually good for children...)



In 2007 the FDA wanted people to toss their made in China toothpaste when they found that some was sweetened and thickened with poisonous diethylene glycol.


I love how people are supposed to just toss the product as there is no point in getting a refund or going after the distributor and owner of the brand name as they will just claim that it was the Chinese manufacturer and wash their hands of the problems.  No wonder nothing is made in the US anymore; there is far too much accountability and liability when you start poisoning people if you are based in the US.

I remember when John Wayne died. My grandfather was in the hospital with a bad heart. John Wayne had cancer at the time. Wayne did not die from cancer though. He jumped out his hospital window and fell to his death. I remember this because my grandfather joked "that's how a man dies". Not something you want to hear from an ailing family member. Especially when you're ten. Needless to say it left an impression. But if you read his bio nowhere does it make mention of his true cause of death.
