Today someone named Mitch made a good recommendation.  He suggested we install the forum backend for an Android/iPhone/Blackberry/Nokia app called Tapatalk.  It's an app that allows you to view this forum on your mobile device in a more pleasing, intuitive, sensible format.  I've not tried this out for myself yet, so I'm very curious as to how it will work for all of you.  I'll give it a go after the show tonight, but until then, I'd appreciate it if you guys would give it a shot.

One thing I forgot to add is that when you install the FREE version of this app, it is read only.  If you want to post messages, you'll need to install the $2.99 paid version.  I don't think that's too terribly much to pay if you are a frequent mobile user of this site.  I just wish that they would funnel a portion of the $$ to us since it's OUR FORUM getting them the sales.  Oh well.  At least we now have a more appropriate mobile solution.  I did go ahead and install the app on my phone a short while ago, and it appears to work beautifully.  I'll probably go ahead and buy the paid version this evening.  $2.99 won't kill me.

It's frigging awesome to be able to fly through the coastgab forums on your mobile device. Especially with the stream running in the background! You can even post photos... HAHA!

oh, and i should mention, the Tapatalk app works on any forum that uses it... not just coastgab.

I highly recommend Tapatalk. The only problem is it doesn't save a post if you shut it down for a second to research something, for example. Other than that it's been great.

i just got a private message from someone unable to post messages on coastgab using an ipad.  i again would like to recommend you install the Tapatalk app on your android, ios, and other mobile devices.  it makes the entire forum experience FAR more pleasurable on a mobile device.  the following is taken from the Tapatalk website with a couple of edits on my part:

Actually, a generic theme for mobile might be a good idea. I'll look into that.
