If you are considering starting a new topic (thread), first take a look around and see if your topic would fit in as a new post on an already existing thread.  The search feature will help you greatly in doing so.

Please. 

We are creating far too many new threads.  It's scattering user attention into too many nooks and crannies, resulting in a bunch of lightly posted new threads.  That's no good.

Believe me, your post will get far more attention when smartly and efficiently added to a relevant, growing thread than it will off by its self in Siberia.
