GIS were some of my favorite C2C guests, and more topics like that would be great.

I liked some of the shows with Charles R. Smith, in particular he did one with Art in 2004 about China threats which I thought was very thought provoking, he's reportedly and expert in cyber warfare, he did a show in October 2011 with J.B. Well, but I didn't listen to it.   I guess if you are open to that slant he'd be an interesting choice.   www.softwar.net

I listened well into the show to when Ev took over as host.  The show had a really good flow and the sound quality is great.  MV, have you tried changing the format of the show, e.g., paranormal or political (is there a difference?)  You have the talent base.

funny you should ask that, because i always thought the trainwreck show was largely a political show to begin with.  the show i do with curtis is tech.  never really considered focusing on doing a paranormal show because i don't think i could make that interesting week after week.

A paranormal - political show with the two of you would be absolutlely riveting.  Strategically, hold the show live for up to 3 hours as a lead in to the live C2C show.  You might capture some of the audience that listens to the C2C replay before the live show.  Let's get some EVP guests lined up!  What will be exciting is having intelligence and intelligent questions behind the microphone in a paranormal show.

it's coming.  can't wait.  i spoke with brendan (from the GIS) a couple days ago and he's getting with barbara to settle on a date/time.  it'll air on a weekend, and hopefully soon.

I would classify the trainwreck as current events/political commentary, and the spec-sheet as social tech talk.

But that's me, and I'm just a duck on the internet.

And I really enjoyed the last show. You guys did a great job. Really, you make it sound easy, and I know it's not. Wish Big Mike would've called in. Maybe next time.

actually, i think that's a really good way to categorize the spec sheet.

Only got the chance to listen for a short while, but what I heard was great. I really like the live chat/streaming combo.

That makes the third (I guess fourth, since you were doing two) podcast I know that's suddenly ceased in the past year.  Inevitable, I suppose, since there's no money involved and the novelty eventually wears off.  Thanks for the effort... The shows were enjoyable.

This is an unfortunate yet understandable loss.  I've always looked forward especially to any new Trainwreck shows which is a big reason I continue to cruise the forums here.  You and Evelyn made a great combo.  I look forward the the MVD Quits Trainwreck thread and the ensuing drama.

Good luck to you Michael.

Bravo Michael!  Change is good.  Soon you'll be jumping head first into a tornado once your baby is born.  Rest up my friend!  (Things quiet down after the first three months or so.)

:( I'm very sad to hear this news, but I totally understand. Unfortunately, I was late to the party, only discovering the Trainwreck and Spreadsheet after the AB stream switched over. I especially enjoyed listening live from the chat room. You did a great job providing free entertainment and information (entermation?) over the interwebs and you will definitely be missed. Surely your talent and experience will lead to future broadcasts somewhere. Please keep me on your mailing list. Guess I'll need to spend some time poking around coastgab now. I only came here because of your podcasts.

There's a guy here in Sacramento who did a local car-talk show every Sunday morning for more than ten years. I could not care less about cars, but the show was always entertaining. His take was consistently interesting and he kept it edgy and provocative. I listen to your shows for the same reason. I'm not always interested in the topic, but the delivery and analysis keeps me listening, except maybe some of the bodily functions discussions. :o

Congratulations on your coming child. He or she is what matters most. Family first. Forget the trolls. I can't even fathom the psychosis that leads someone to spread venemous hate in such a fashion. They're not worthy of your time. And time is the greatest asset. You can always make more money, but you can never make more time. I think you have chosen wisely.

Cheers! to you Michael, and your wife Nibila (sp?) and all those whom you care for.
