I suggest the editor in chief of SKEPTIC magazine. He was interviewed by Noory and he was spitting knowledge while Noory kept dumbing it all down. I forget his name, but he was great.

I believe you are thinking of Michael Shermer. He's been on with Art and Noory a few times, interesting guy. Along the same lines, what about James Randi? Interestingly, he's never been on c2c as far as I'm aware.

Ugh, Hoagland. Doesn't he get enough exposure on C2C?

3. Interesting musicians.  I know Frank Zappa's old bass player from the Mothers of Invention days, he's a good friend of mine.  I could probably line up an interview if you wanted.  He's got some STORIES!  Wow.

THIS! /\ /\ /\ /\  ;D ;D ;D :o ;D

Yeah, his name is Jeff Simmons.  Zappa produced Jeff's solo record in '68 called 'Lucille Has Messed My Mind Up.'  Then he joined the Mothers of Invention and he played on 'Chunga's Revenge,' 'Waka/Jawaka,' 'Roxy & Elsewhere,' and '200 Motels.'  And he didn't only play bass, he played a lot of guitar on the later records.  He's a hell of a piano player too.  He's in the movie 200 motels, but only as a cartoon because he left the group briefly while it was being filmed.  He toured the world with the Mothers.  He's really an interesting guy, musically he's a genius, and funnier than hell.  And his recent recordings are great!  He's making another album right now that I play guitar on a few tracks.

I don't know if I could talk him into doing it, but I could sure try.  He'd be a great guest.

A little more about him on wikipedia...

I've been enjoying the stream a lot lately. Caught a few early shows that I had not heard before. Good stuff! Very impressed with your poise and confidence on the air, at 26!

Any progress connecting with Jeff Simmons?  8)

Yeah, I talked to Jeff just today... he says he'd do an interview.  He wants me to be there with him and play some music live on the show... but I don't know how we could do that.... Maybe over Skype?  But he wants to do it at his house where he's comfortable and where his piano is, but I don't think he's got the technology to Skype from his house.  Anyway, whatever the details, he said he'd be happy to do an interview.

Here he is in London playing with Dweezil last year.

Nice! This is awesome, they always did great shows with Art.
I really like the interview format, first Rolleye, now GIS... you're setting yourself up to compete with Coast :)

For the record I'm not a believer in any of the EVP stuff, but Brendan and Barbara always had some creepy samples.

I'm a cynic, and quite well equipped to cope with disappointment, but the GIS are possibly the only 'paranormal' type people who, if it turned out they were frauds, I would seriously burst into tears.

i'd be happy to co-host with you so long as you have a decent voice.  i have to warn you, though... i generally think bigfoot is shit.

I thought when I mentioned a friend's crazy grandparent you would have thought I was being sarcastic??? But believe me when I say I am an expert on the bigfoot found on mars.

But I saw some really funny shit once in a bigfoot doc, where the documentarian was asking some young blonde ditz if she believed in squatch, she says no, and then some 3 toothed hick in overalls storms over across the parking lot and flips shit over "YES HE IS! HE IS REAL! DAMNIT GOD AS MY WITNESS HOW DARE YOU"

Bigfoot research can be quite hilarious and unintentionally entertaining! Has anyone here seen "Not Your Typical Bigfoot Movie"?

That shit had me rolling.

not likely.  the only questions i'd like to ask him are things that would either 1) cause him to give dishonest answers or 2) cause him to terminate the interview.

not sure just yet.  waiting on them to approve my proposed date/time.
