I see it using Firefox 3.6.10, but not when I use IE8.

i don't see it in firefox, either.  actually, that was the first time i've used firefox in about three months.  i'd forgotten how slow it is.

one possible explanation:  the webmaster who runs the site that image is hosted on might have added some rules to their server that prevents bandwidth theft.  loosely put ... this is where you link to content on another site for display on your site/blog/etc.  some of you have cashed that image in your browser memory and some of you tried to load that post after the server rule preventing bandwidth theft for that image was added
