DOGSo here I am. Third week on the road stuck in this small car, travelling West to East and East to West and I don’t know where else. I eat from plastic containers and sleep in strange places. I do see lots of new things though. And I do meet lots of new people. I have seen some amazing sunsets, beautiful roads, small towns as well as ghost towns. Scary places and sad places, beautiful places... But what do I care? The constant starring out the window is getting boring. I can’t run, the wind in my ears is too loud and I get only very short brakes to sniff around and pee around. Wait, what’s this? Hmmm....strange...?Anyways. Mostly, I sleep.Oh, and I listen to these two...fighting and getting lost. And kissing me ...kissing me all the time!Come on! I am not a teddy bear. I am a dog. What? You don’t know me? Well, not yet..but you will...soon...so let me introduce myself...my name is Rocco.I am a Maltese and I am travelling this silly Route 66. Well, they are! I am just a tag along...Wait...where was I? I do get distracted at all..hope it won’t confuse too much...so here we are packing...not so much me...but him...and her. GIRL Yes you gonna go. For a trip. It’s happening. Now! Let’s go. Stop biting me. We are ready to go.Anyways this was 3 weeks ago. Since then we drove from LA to Chicago and started the Route66. We are mostly alone. Not too many cars on this fancy famous road. Oh, and...yeah...we do see lots of nothingWhat is Route 66? I don’t know...I think it’s some old road.....It is all about hotels, motels, bikers, drive-ins, uturns, cafes, shakes and burgers, bridges, dead ends, cars, root beers, trading posts, wall paintings, parks...and I don’t know what else.I just hope this will end soon. Wait...not the parks part. That part I like. Very very much....So, wanna join me on my adventure? Come oooon...I don’t want to be bored all alone....Shall I start from the beginning then? Alright then...it all went something like this...First I was really worried they were going to leave me behind....now I am worried that we will never return back home.1. (ILLINOIS) DOGSo we are taking of for the Route 66 adventure, misadventure, unadventure, super adventure.And, somebody just pooped, and somebody else picked up the poop. Yup. I got it all taken care of, don’t I.We are starting Route 66 now, it is November 1st and St Luis is our destination. It would be great to make it further but St Luis is the minimum.You know, when you are flying it to Chicago you see this beautiful skyline. It is very nice.And this is Chicago, but what a strange neighborhood! Look at that all the stores are closed. One house here, one house there.So part of 66 became 55. US 55. That’s where we are now.The map says: Follow interstate 55 to Joliet exit. Then head South to Joliet.I think we are lost. We don’t know where to go but we keep going...
