Topic: George Tribut to Art

I recall a few years ago George did a tribute to Art. I can't remember why or the date. Can someone help? I'd like to hear this again.

I recall many of the guest art had on called in, George played some very very very old bits from Arts past, like when he was in Guam i think. Before he did ailen shows and even when he glued his lips LOL.

By the way does anyone have Shows from 1980's or know where i can hear some. I guess what i am realy interested in hearing is the show art did the night before he started talking about ailens and such.  Its my understanding that he did politics and one night he interviewed about Ailens and that where Coast to Coast really begane as we know it now. Im only assuming the C2C we know now started in the mid to late 1980s like 87 or something, from the dates and times i've herd him say in other shows.

I've often wondered about shows predating 1993 myself, as that's the oldest I have been able to track down.  According to a piece in the July/August 1997 issue of Skeptical Enquirer Magazine, the beginning of Coast is put at "around 13 years ago", which would place its birth in 84 or 85.

According to Art's Premier Radio biography, the show Art had preceding Coast began in 1985, with the change in format that created C2C coming in 1993.

If the latter is accurate, then I know C2C had to have started before June 20, 1993 as that is the oldest episode I have seen available online.

I heard a show like the one you mentioned within the past two years - but it may have been a re-ru, I don't know.  HOWEVER - I think this one was done when Art was intalled into the Radio Hall of Fame - which is within the past year or so.
